These are truisms that only kids can express. A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds "What does love mean?"

The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined.

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."- Rebecca - age 8

"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You know that your name is safe in their mouth."- Billy - age 4

"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other." - Karl - age 5

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs." -Chrissy - age 6

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired." Terri - age 4

"Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK." - Danny - age 7

"Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss." -Emily - age 8

"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen."- Bobby - age 5

"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate."- Nikka - age 6

Well simple as it may seem,but don't you agree that they got a whole lot broader explanation than we do?

Thats soooooo cooool sis lhena... Your right, kids do have a lot broader explanation about love... even though it seems simple to everyone, well those explanations are much meaningfull on our own explanations

Kids love are simply expressive without preconditions of judgement...

we adult corrupts their pure hearts of our own fear and doubt,

we pass unto them the paranoid culture of mistrust and hate,

we always have the best intentions for their welfare that we over do it...

as Jesus said, you can not undesrtand the kingdom of heaven unless you become like a child... purity of heart.

kids with their innocent and pure minds, having no insecurities at all with the world, makes them so broad-minded about life and sees things in full details.. while we, the grown-ups, tend to forget the little details of life.. we become so pre-occupied with wuts goin on wit our lives that we tend to ignore the very small details that makes up our lives more meaningful..

it only goes to prove that kids, as carefree as they are, are more aware of the things goin on around them compared to us.. this doesnt prove that kids are more intelligent.. as ive said and as what mr tback has implied, it only proves that sometimes, we need to borrow the eyes of a child to see the beauty of life..

for child?? love for a child is playing all day long....
